Fishing Gurus hit Lakelands in Ireland!

The Guru team are busy filming a brand-new series of Fishing Gurus and their latest adventure has seen Dean Macey, Steve Ringer and Pemb Wrighting tackling the stunning Lakelands in southern Ireland.

Following in the footsteps of many coarse and match anglers, for whom Ireland has been a Mecca for the fantastic all-round sport for many decades, the lads bagged up on day one with hard-fighting bream, hybrids and roach on feeder tactics.

With Dean Macey on presenting duties, following Pemb and Steve (who won the World Feeder Championships in Ireland in 2014) behind the rods, the race was on to emerge victorious over the course of the day on the stunning loch. The prize? Not having to buy Dean Macey’s dinner – a wallet-busting forfeit if ever there was one…

To see who came out on top, you’ll have to wait until the episode airs in the latest series of Fishing Gurus on Sky Sports later in the year – with lots of rod-bending action from two of the best match anglers in the business, it’s going to be a brilliant watch. The episode will be part of season six of Fishing Gurus.

The Lakelands district in County Leitrim is a haven for anglers with dozens of lakes and lochs to tackle for a wide variety of species, including the famous bream and hybrids plus rudd and tench.

Pike and roach fishing is also exceptional in the area and there are many angler-friendly accommodation options along with bait delivery services and everything the travelling angler needs to have great sport.
