World Angling Pairs success continues for Guru

Team Guru have returned from Ireland with their heads held high. Following Steve Ringer’s success, Adam Rooney got in on the action with his good friend Richie Hull, finishing the festival in an impressive 4th place.

Superbly organized by Lakelands and Inland waterways, the match was held on some of Ireland’s beautiful locks and river systems with around 130 anglers taking part. Held over five consecutive days the competition sees the combined daily weights of each pair added to their final total. Sections where spread over the north and south of Ireland with a range of venues making each day a new challenge. The majority of the fish came on the feeder with skimmers, hybrids and bream forming the bulk of the catch. However some sections had large heads of both roach and perch on the pole or wipe line.

There will be a full in depth story of Adams successfully trip on the site shortly.
