International Honours for Guru Duo

Guru head consultant Steve Ringer won individual and team gold for the England Feeder Team at this weekend’s Feeder Fishing International in Belgium. Guru’s brand manager, Adam Rooney, who was representing England B Team for the first time in international competition, contributed to the B Team’s overall silver.
The field at the rowing course in Ghent comprised 20 teams that will be competing in the World Feeder champs to be held at the same venue in July. Adam’s England B Team came out all guns blazing on day one, finishing the day on top. Adam told us, “The key to our first-day success was the groundbait and line that we chose to fish. We targeted bream, which meant that we needed to be patient, but the result proved that this was the right approach.”
Day two was to provide a turnaround in fortunes for the two England teams. The B Team drew two poor areas and the A Team put in another steady performance to secure overall gold. Commenting on Steve Ringer’s individual gold, Adam Rooney said, “Steve proved his understanding of the tactics needed to succeed on this venue during practice. He built on this foundation to grab another international honour during the match, which bodes extremely well for the World Championships in July.”
The results enjoyed by Adam, Steve and new Guru signing Dean Barlow, showcases the depth of talent that the Guru team now has, which will certainly be reflected in the new releases from the Guru stable.
