The Big Fish Off returns to ITV4 this week with a new series!

The launch of the eagerly awaited second series of ITV hit show The Big Fish Off is only a few days away!

The action-packed second series is even bigger and better than the original – which has attracted over 6 million viewers so far – with an amazing line-up of celebrities, as well as some fantastic fishing venues.

It follows the same format as series one, with team captains Dean Macey and Ali Hamidi each joined by a celebrity guest as they undertake three challenges in each of the five shows.

There is a fantastic line-up of stars, with big names from sports, music, entertainment and reality TV, and as well as visiting a variety of venues in the UK – including a trip out sea fishing off of the Essex coast – the series culminates in the teams travelling to Thailand to a fishery that is home to some real monsters!

The Big Fish Off is far more than just a fishing show and appeals to the whole family, with laughs-a-plenty and some of the stars have never even picked up a rod before!

It all kicks off at 8pm on Thursday April 7 on ITV4, with each subsequent episode at the same time each week, leading up to the finale on May 5. Here is a rundown of exactly what you can look forward to!

Show 1 (April 7th, 8pm, ITV4)
Ali and Dean kick off series two of The Big Fish Off with two very special guests - comedy legend Bobby Davro and former EastEnders actor Ricky Groves (aka unlucky-in-love mechanic Garry). With a simmering rivalry flooding over from series one, the teams head to the tranquility of an historic fishing complex in Surrey to continue their competition with fish, banter and laughs-a-plenty as they target crucian carp, bream, tench and carp.

Show 2 (April 14th, 8pm, ITV4)
For this episode the deadly David and Goliath duo Ali Hamidi and Dean Macey go urban as they're joined by special guests - ex-footballer turned top TV pundit Mark Bright, and legendary DJ and sports pundit DJ Spoony. With Police sirens, heavy tension and drama to the end, this show is one high octane fishing adventure!

Show 3 (April 21st, 8pm, ITV4)
The lads are joined by two sporting legends - ex-Liverpool and Spurs hard man Neil 'Razor' Ruddock and former Middle Weight and Super Middle Weight boxing champ Steve 'The Celtic Warrior' Collins! The barmy army head back to Ali's fishing roots in Essex as the journey turns into one of humour, drama, plenty of coarse fish and a crazy sea fishing challenge to finish.

Show 4 (April 28th, 8pm, ITV4)
For the first time on this show, Ali and Dean are joined by two females, both eager to see what the fishing fuss is all about! Olympic royalty Sally Gunnell is up against reality star, model and photographer Anna ‘AK’ Kelle. This show returns to Dean Macey's roots in Essex as the crazy gang experience pole fishing, park life and a night session chasing monster catfish!

Show 5 (May 5th, 8pm, ITV4)
The season finale sees the show go in search of monster fish of many species in Thailand! Ali Hamidi and Dean Macey take fishing fanatics TOWIE'S Ricky Rayment and top boxer Mitchell Smith on a quite incredible journey in search of fish to over 300lb. It’s drama from start to finish as the team try to catch huge Siamese carp, Mekong catfish and arapaima, with an explosive big-fish finale to the series that’ll have you on the edge of your seat!
