Guru is supporting National Fishing Week at White Acres

National Fishing Month, an initiative to encourage more people, young and old, to take up our sport has got underway, with events at fisheries across the country.

The annual initiative has been a huge success since its inception, giving thousands of people a chance to try the sport for the first time, and Guru are supporting the event with a whole week of events at the hugely popular White Acres complex near Newquay, Cornwall – a fishery which has been hosting NFW for the past six years.

As part of the Guru week, commencing on August 1, match aces Adam Rooney and Pemb Wrighting, alongside other Guru-backed anglers, will be showing how they go about tackling a venue where they have found success in matches in the past.

This is a great opportunity, whether you are a complete newcomer to the sport or a seasoned angler, to come along and learn from some of the best in the business as they reveal the tips and secrets which help them to catch fish so consistently – plus there will be prize giveaways and a chance to get your hands on some of the kit that they use.

In addition to that, and for those of you who have more of an interest in bigger carp, Korda’s Neil Spooner will be there to showcase the extensive range of products on offer, as well as showing how to get the best out of them.

White Acres is a holiday venue with 13 lakes on site, offering a wide variety of fishing for both pleasure and match anglers, as well as carp to over 30lb and catfish in excess of 60lb for the specimen hunter, and bookings are via: http://www.parkdeanholidays.co.uk

National Fishing Month is getting bigger every year, with more and more events that people can attend, and it now runs from July 22 until August 29. For more info on all the events taking place, check out: http://www.nationalfishingmonth.com
