NEW Fishing Gurus Series!

Fishing on TV doesn’t get much better than this. The third season of the acclaimed Fishing Guruss Series goes to air on Sky Sports this September, and it promises to be the best series yet. Fronted by the inimitable Dean Macey, the eight-show series features match-fishing giant Steve Ringer, England Football Legend David Seaman, Guru Brand Manager Adam Rooney and accomplished all-rounder Shaun Hodges – a blend of talent the like of which is completely unheard of in coarse-fishing programming.

The new season blends everything from specimen hunting on tough venues, through pure pleasure fishing on commercial venues that are open to all, right up to hard-edged match fishing on the open circuit. Series Three kicks off with an entertaining match that pits two carp men against top match guys in a rematch from Fishing Gurus Series One. Sticking with the match-fishing theme, we get a privileged glimpse into one of the most finely tuned match-fishing brains around, as the cameras follow Steve Ringer through a real-life match, recording his every move.

The series changes pace and venue to great effect, taking in the might of the Trent in the Midlands as Dean Macey and Shaun Hodges target barbel and chub as well as the smaller River Kennet in Berkshire. David Seaman stars in the Kennet show, as he and Dean attempt to trick some of the wily barbel and chub that the pressured stretch holds.
Gravel Pit tench and crucians are the focus for another show, as Macey and Hodges team up once more to catch these, the most typical of summer gravel pit fish. Two more commercial-based shows complete the series, demonstrating just how varied this sport of ours can be.

The shows start on 18/09/12 and each episode is repeated at least four times, so there’s no excuse for missing it! The full schedule is listed below…
