Fishing Gurus showing on Discovery Shed

The complete fifth season of Fishing Gurus airs on Discovery Shed this June, with the seven episodes forming part of the channel’s angling-themed summer schedule.

Starting on Wednesday 3rd June at 7pm, two episodes a night air between 7pm and 8pm over Wednesday, Thursday 4th and Friday 5th, with the final episode showing on Monday 8th June at 7pm.

The series begins on the mouth watering River Wye. Under Dean’s watchful eye, top matchman, Adam Rooney, tackles the beautiful, hard-fighting barbel that the river is famed for. Can Dean help Adam bag a new PB?

Adam Rooney is back on familiar territory for show two, as he and match-fishing legend, Steve Ringer, employ two very different, yet equally devastating, carp-fishing methods at the famous Makin’s Fishery.

We stay in pursuit of carp for show three, as Dean takes a nostalgic trip back to a park lake he fished as a kid. Will he remember how to catch the carp it holds?

Steve Ringer puts on a commercial-carp masterclass in show four, running Dean through the intricacies of the pellet waggler and pole. Keen to put his knowledge into practice, Dean tackles Churchgate Fishery in Essex for show five, proving that he can turn his hand to day-ticket carping; catching fish on conventional tactics, as well as roving for bites.

Match vs carp is back for the last two shows in the series. England matchman Adam Rooney takes on England international carper Jake Wildbore at Boddington Reservoir. Who will come out on top and emerge, having secured the bragging rights for another year.

Whether you’re an occasional matchman, hardened competitor or a pleasure fisherman, you’ll learn how to get more bites, quickly.

Tackle Guru’s sister show, Thinking Tackle, also airs over the next two weeks at 6pm from Wednesday 3rd until Monday 15th. See www.korda.co.uk for details.
